Being that we spend about one-third of our lives asleep, it makes sense to invest in bedding that's not only comfortable, but stands the test of time. But with so many options out there are fabric, thread count, weave, and patterns.


    Cotton: 100% cotton is always an excellent go to because it's soft and affordable. If you're looking for the premium, go for Egyptian Cotton that even softer and extremely durable. It is a comfortable choice for warm climates in that it easily absorbs skin moisture.

    Linen: Ideal for hot climates, linen sheets are some of the most expensive out there, but will last for decades. Linen are soft and durable, and get better with age. Linen will soften as you wear it over time and it can be washed in the washing machine. Much like cotton, it has a tendency to shrink, so it's a good idea to wash your linen items in cold or warm water.

    Poly-blend sheets: Polyester-blend sheets has had a popularity spike because of its smooth finish and its ability to be easily blended with other fabrics. So, when cotton is blended with a certain percentage of polyester, you get the best of both the fibers and the resulting fabric is extremely durable. Polyester-blend sheets also easy and resistant to wrinkles.


    With all the buzz about thread count, it's easy to assume that higher means softer. But that's not always the case. There are benefits for higher and lower thread count sheets based on your preference. Thread count is the total number of yarns per square inch of fabric. A high thread count is often associated with high quality fabric because it’s thought to make the sheets softer and more durable, but the truth is other factors like the fiber quality and weave are more important.

  3. WEAVE

    Your primary options are percale or sateen. Percale is a basic, grid-like weave that feels light and crisp. Sateen in a satin weave and feels silky smooth.


    Pattern brings ambiance to your bedroom. Like any other element in the bedroom, sheets play a part in the overall design. You can experiment with patterns, prints and solid color. Don’t be afraid to mix and match!
